This is an excellent opportunity for a Perl programmer to deploy their skills on a new development project that is delivering real innovation in the web/mobile sector. Working as part of a multi skilled team, the role will involve developing various applications based around the mobile internet, and the multiple services available to customers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, expanding company and have a real impact on the development of the technical architecture. A six month contract there is an opportunity for a longer term assignment or to transition to a permanent role. Required skills: The ideal candidate will have; - Strong Perl programming skills (including OO), with experience or knowledge of as many of the following as possible: Apache, mod_perl, Subversion, CVS, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Web Services. - Experience deploying applications on UNIX (Solaris/Linux) platforms. - Experience with relational databases and object-oriented systems. - Excellent knowledge of modern software systems engineering and experience in building distributed component-based software solutions. - Research, investigation, evaluation, analytical and mathematical skills.
