Hi,
This may have already been answered in the past, if so I apologise for
asking again, but....
The company I work for uses perl extensively with Tk to create our UI's.
We now have a need for a java-perl interface. I have got JPL working with
5.004 of perl but we currently use perl 5.005_02 and a) jpl won't seem to
build with this version and b) we would prefer not to regress to 5.004.
Has anyone managed to get JPL working with perl 5.005_02 please?
Secondly, I got hold of the 5.6.0 source, built it, and told it to build a
libperl.so. the JPL included in this release builds bug segv's when it
comes to running the sample program. the jdk I am using is 1.1.8 on
Solaris 2.5.1 (on a sparc Ultra 5) and only has green_thread support.
Could this be a jdk problem? Here is the output:
...
Testing Sample...
+ cd Sample
JPLDEBUG=1
+ export JPLDEBUG
+ java Sample
init
Segmentation Fault
Couldn't run Sample
Many thanks
