To all Perl/Java Hackers and other interested parties:

A newer version of perljvm has been released.  It is released as the module,
B::JVM::Jasmin, but it comes with a small (nearly trivial) program, perljvm,
that runs B::JVM::Jasmin to generate JVM bytecode from simple Perl programs.

I am going to begin referring to the project as 'perljvm', because I feel it
encompasses a larger set of problems than just B::JVM::Jasmin.  However, for
now, it seems to make sense to continue releasing the software package of
perljvm on CPAN as 'B::JVM::Jasmin'.

Version 0.02 is a complete rewrite of version 0.01 (Brian Jepson's first
release of B::JVM::Jasmin).  No code from 0.01 was used in the creation of
0.02.

I encourage folks interested in Java and Perl integration to download it and
take a look.  Only a small subset of Perl is currently supported, but I am
working full-time on the project now.  So, expect releases frequently and
features to come somewhat quickly.  Contributions from others are welcome
too, of course!

Until it appears on CPAN, you can retrieve the software from the perljvm

If you just want to grab the file directly (i.e, with wget) before it
