I have to agree with this one. I am trying to get it working as well. (Win32
style)

I also installed the binary verion of perl 5.6. Found the compiled jpl
module zip at the bottom of this page.
http://users.erols.com/theroths/perl_stuff.html . Last night I found the jpl
directory in the source files. I just tried this out of desparation because
I couldn't find it anywhere else. Anyhoo, I grabbed the source from
ActiveState and there it was.

when i try to run part of the simplest example that I could find on the
web....

   use JPL::Class 'java::awt::Label';
   $new = getmeth("new", ["java.lang.String"], []);

... i get the following error. Undefined subroutine &main::getmeth called at
test.pl line 2.

I tried to complie the jpl i got with the perl source a million times but
still have yet to get any perl module to complie. So, I believe I have
solved your problem (hopefully) but have also posed one of my own.

Any and all help is always appreciated.

Subject: how to use jpl

Hi All,

I have just installed the binary version of perl 5.6.1 on Sun OS 5.7. I
want to use JPL.
I didn't find any jpl module there, perldoc -f jpl also didn't work.
Could anybody help as how to use jpl ( I assume that its installed as I got
bin ver.)

many thanks...
Ranjit.
