Hi:
     I have the similar problems when I want to install JPL in my UNIX system.
But I am not sure if it is because of different OS system. My UNIX is called
Digital UNIX system. From the README in JPL package JPL should be installed "
under Solaris and GNU/Linux (and other Unix-like system)". Do we need to follow
this requirement religiously? It is so good to hear from somebody in this list.
