Re: Installing JPL

I had this problem on Linux. there seemed to be a missing crypt symbol
even when libcrypt.a was on the LD_LIBRARY_PATH. I traced the unresolved
symbol back to pp.c and resolved it by going into the perl source tree and
commenting out the line

#define HAS_CRYPT 

in config.h 

Then rebuild perl.

This fixed the problem, whether the correct way or not is debateable!
