Hey, I _tried_ getting the FAQ :)

Hi folks!

My apologies if these Questions are Frequently Asked,
but I did ask the server for the FAQ.

I'm investigating whether JPL would work for a project I'm
about to start, since I'd like to be able to reuse existing
java code from a perl project.

What's the current state of JPL?  Does it work with 1.2+
JVMs?  What platforms is it good on, what platforms does
it definitely NOT work on?

Is the README up to date?  It says "not tested with 1.2+".
