I appologize if you get this mail twice. > Can anyone give me more infomation on JPL running on redhat linux with JDK > 1.2.2 or Other JDKs? > > Thanx, > Jens Thomsen I got jpl running on redhat linux 6.* with a) jdk1.1.8 from ibm, and glibc2.1.1 b) jdk1.3 from ibm, and glibc2.1.3 For each of those I compiled a libperl.so, version 5.6.0. According to JPL documentation, you need to use native threads, and for linux, versions jdk1.1.8 and jdk1.3 are the ones that support native threads. According to documentation of jpl1.3, only glibc-2.1.1 is needed, but I had a problem resolving symbol sem_wait@GLIBC_2.1 in file libpthread.0.so. Conversely, this symbol ^was^ defined in libpthread.0.so that came with glibc2.1.3 installation. I didn't manage to get JPL working with jdk1.2, probably because I was using green threads. Hope this helps. Boris
