I put the note in there, but I don't have a strong recollection of what I
did or where it was all going.  I think most of it had to do with the
instantiation of the JVM. Look around for #ifdef KAFFE and also at
JNI/JNIConfig.kaffe.

If you have any questions on what I was doing, please feel free to get in
touch, and I'll do my best to remember what was happening. I can't
remember the exact roadblock that I hit, unfortunately, but it might come
out if you try compiling it with kaffe.
