kwiki -compress trouble and an idea for a fast "passive mode"

Hi, I've got a problem compressing images: I'm trying to create a new image-subclass, but when I do "kwiki -compress ." as described in PluginDocsIntro I get something like "Compressing Kwiki::Icons::Gnome Can't call method "preference" on an undefined value at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/Kwiki/Preferences.pm line 10." (as you can see in this example I even get it for Kwiki::Icons::Gnome when I pretend to be editing it!) Another, totally different subject on my mind is whether it would be possible to speed up Kwiki by letting it save the html-version of its pages - in other words work in a sort of "passive mode", only starting up properly when someone wanted to edit a page or pressed some other function-button. This ought to be a plugin of course since it would need a lot of extra disk-space, but is there anything wrong in principle with the idea? (- Would anyone with enough Perl-experience like to try it? ;-) Cheers, Fritz ___________________________________________________________ ALL-NEW Yahoo!
