I have this bug too.

 

I downloaded a fresh version of Strawberry 5.8.9, and tried to install
the Catalyst bundle and got this invalid conversion error.

 

My version of ExtUtils::ParseXS is 2.20.  CPAN reported the latest as
2.2002, I've upgraded and I still get the same error.

 

Eirik
