Thanks for working on this  port.
I just ran the tests with 2 fails, have not had time to
work through them.

Using
This is perl 5, version 12, subversion 0 (v5.12.0) built for
MSWin32-x64-multi-thread
gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC)
