Event.pm status on win32

Hi,

By the low traffic in the list I am assuming that Event.pm is in a solid
state.

I have not seen win32 related messages for a while now. The last one is
from Aug 2002.

I also remember problems with the win32 port (native, not cygwin).
Problems related to select() and WaitforMultipleObject().
On the other hand the new PerlIO should solve the problem.

So, here we are with perl 5.8.1^H0. 
What is the status?

Can I rely on Event.pm on win32?
