Maybe, I dunno.  I do know that in the past, even with MacPerl 5.2.0r4,
I've tried to put MacPerl scripts in Startup Items, and they would not
execute.  So I'd not think it was a 5.6.1 thing.

However, I cannot duplicate this behavior at this time.

I'll make a note and leave the bug report open with a lower priority; maybe
at some point we'll think of something.
