Initial Comment:
MacPerl 5.6.1r1

The File::Basename directory name routines 
(fileparse, dirname) both return a trailing path 
separator on MacPerl (i.e. all dirnames are concluded 
with a final ":").

Not sure if this is a bug, but it is different than 
the behavior of 5.2.0.r4 and both Win32 and Linux 
Perl 5.6.1.
