Reminder: MacPerl 5.8 is *not* going to be binary compatible with MacPerl 5.6. Don't gripe to me, gripe to p5p. ;) No, really, there are good reasons for it, and if you care, read the p5p archives over the last month or so. Regardless, all your favorite 3d-party extensions will need to be rebuilt. I've added 5.8 as an option to MMP ( http://dev.macperl.org/mmp ). I am hoping to get a developer build/release of 5.7/5.8 out in the next week (maybe this weekend, I just need to find the time to build it). What's left to be done, from what I can tell, in no particular order: * Encode * Testing of lib/ and ext/ * Main 5.8 Release * Some new GUI features from Thomas * Various existing bugfixes (these are for both 5.6 and 5.8) -- Chris Nandor [email protected] http://pudge.net/ Open Source Development Network [email protected] http://osdn.com/
