Ah, I see what you mean.  In the distribution, Shuck Manual *is* of type
…uck.  So I don't think it is much of an issue for the Manual.  I have a
perl script that fixes up the files for distribution, changing the types,
etc.

Hm, as to reading TEXT files in general though, I don't know.  I guess I
don't really have strong feelings any way.
