Testing "AllowOverride"

[excuse - use mac to write scripts but linux apache question]

Anyway to test the whether AllowOveride is set in access.conf file with
following constraints:

Virtual Server
No Telnet
Can't contact server owner
Can upload and run perl scripts in cgi-bin

Hoping there may be a perl script that tests it.

ne1 have any ideas?
