need your help for perl programm

hi,
i need to do a program in perl for my school of engineering but i am not 
really able to do that so i need your help,
the program is quite simple,
i have to create a script which connect to a server (POP3) and take the 
attachement files of the messages,and convert this files in format PDF (at 
the beginning the files are in Poscript) then the new attachement files is 
returned at the initial mail-box then the program goes out the server
