I asked these questions in the regular MacPerl forum, and was advised to
post here. I hope someone can help me with this problem

Has anyone here used vqServer and MacPerl together. I am having a problem
with getting MacPerl to run cgi's sent to it by vqServer. I believe I have
everything set up right. The cgi's are saved as cgi scripts and run if
double clicked. When they are accessed through the server thought they just
open for editing on the server. vqServer is a free java based server for
use on MacOS. I am using it because it seems my best bet for my PowerMac
6100 that I have sitting here. It seems to work quite well easy to manage
but the cgi thing is driving me crazy.

When I try to access the cgi script from my site with the .pl extension on
the cgi it will open for editing on the server. However if i remove the .pl
extension from the script and call it by the same name then it runs on the
server bringing up the MacPerl box stating
This program relays MacHTTP search AppleEvents to MacPerl...

Still though no data showing up in the web browser. I hope to one day
conquer this beast.
Anyone have any ideas? Do I need to give more information?

Also what is a Macintosh specific Perl script. I figured that the ones I
read about in the MacPerl book online looked like any other CGI script.

Thanks again
Robby
