Patches like these I have no ability to evaluate.  I could just take your word
on it, but that has a tendency to fix one bug and cause two more.

I really, really need someone to take over the XS portions of MakeMaker.
Someone who knows C and XS and make and linking all in a cross platform manner.

Alternatively, show me that ExtUtils::CBuilder does it (and tests it) and I'll
just follow their lead.

Or some mad genius could convert MakeMaker to use CBuilder.  Good fucking luck.
