MIDI specs

Back when I scrounged up the MIDI File Spec file format and PODified it, I 
couldn't find an official source for it.

But apparently it now has (again?) an official maintainer, who, 
regrettably, is charging for the updated versions:

Unpleasant shades of ISO in that more-than-a-buck-a-page stuff, but I guess 
it's better than having to make do with the nasty old spec, like I had to.

Anyway, someone noticed that I forgot to put my lince text on the MIDI-Perl 
dist, and that got me thinking that since I didn't write MIDI::Filespec and 
I can't put my license on it; so I'm thinking of just leaving it out of the 
next dist.  Would anyone object?  It's not profusely referred-to in the 
rest of the dist, as far as I can tell.
