I keep looking to see if anyone has answered my MIDI::Score problem (I'm at work). Meanwhile... Harry Partch came up with a useable colour-code for his 43-tone per octave Just Intonation System. He made a couple of guitars, violins, and cellos with colour-coded fretboards. Look out for his book "Genesis of a Music" which the details of all of his instruments. A web search will turn up quite a few references to him, and the music is good! (I suppose IMHO would be appropriate for that) DaveT
