MidiShare modules?

Just wondering... has anybody tried to create an interface for MidiShare? (http://www.grame.fr/MidiShare/) It sounds like a good way to do quite portable (MacOS (X), all Windows > 95, Atari, Linux) interaction with other MIDI applications as well as real-time playback. I might be tempted to try my hand at a Perl interface :). Just wante to check whether somebody is already working on it.
