Writing documentation is a matter of looking at the infinite regress of constituent detail and required knowedge, and saying "I will stop /here/. I will assume that the 'notional reader' know all the things up to here, and none of the things past here". With MIDI::Score, the notional reader that I wrote the docs for, is comfortable getting and dealing with event structures. That was an arbitrary decision on my part. -- Sean M.
