Re: rendering MIDI files to WAV/MP3

To answer my own question and in case anyone else is
interested. A freeware package called Synthfont
(www.synthfont.com) allows you to render MIDI files
into WAV files. It uses Soundfont files (.sf2) for the
instrument samples, and if anyone else is interested
in classical piano there is an extremely high quality
Steinway piano sample available for free at
http://www.wstco.net/pianosounds/freesoundfont.htm.

Now you can convert your MIDI-Perl generated
compositions into high quality audio CD...
