Re: double-dotted 8th notes

You've now described twice what a dotted eighth note is.  That was not the question.
The question was, essentially, "I have two values in this table that are the same and souldn't be.  I seem to have the dotted-eighth note and doube-dotted eighth note down for the same value."

If you dot an eighth note, you get a value equivalent to an eighth plus a sixteenth (or 3 sixteenths, making a table value of .75).  If you put two dots on an eighth note you get the value equivalent of an eighth note plus a sixteenth note plus a thirty-second note (or 7 32nds out of a possible 8 in a quarter note = 7/8 - .875 on his table)
