score-list-to-midi-file scripts?

Hello, I'm finding the MIDI-Perl module quite useful, and hope this
isn't too stupid of a question. Many of my routines filter out the score
list as it's dumped (the @notes array), building a similar array. I
would like to write this new array to a midi file, but am a little lost
in the documentation. Does this need to be converted to an events list
first? Are there any scripts out there that do this already?
