MIDI to for track sequencers

I figured I'd blow the cobwebs off of this list and see if anyone can 
help out this guy below.  He's asking about something further into the 
practical domain than I would ever know about.

I'd like to combine to play midi notes with wave loops. you know.
Is there any way that I can do it?
Or taking a simple vision, a track sequencer, where I can put mid tracks
and wav tracks.  synchronizing them.
