Mass education is not necessary, it's something the vendor can (and do) take 
care of.  Module::Build is a bit of a problem because most vendors are 
shipping a stock 5.8.8 which comes with a CPAN.pm that doesn't understand 
Module::Build, so they're not setting --installdirs=site as the default, but 
that will be fixed with time.
