If that code looks too long and redundant to you, you may want to check out MooseX::Runnable, which takes care of constructing the object and calling ->run() on it for you. PS. I'm not sure why you are wanting the class to be a singleton; that's usually a bad idea, and is orthogonal to the considerations of MooseX::Getopt and MooseX::Runnable anyway.
