complete perl directory

Anybody have a complete perl directory?  I was trying to create a perl 
script to send email, installed MIME::Lite, which led to
Net-SMTP-SSL-1.01, which led to Net-SSLeay-1.68, which led 
IO-Socket-SSL-0.97, which led to.......................  I keep getting
deeper and deeper, but not really getting anywhere except to download 
another dependency.
