I agree with you. There's something different between the bazaar and the cathedral going on with XP. With the bazaar it's very hard to refactor continuously. People don't like when public interfaces change. The cathedral reminds me of the ivory tower where solutions come down from above. XP is more like a peasant cooperative. You are all working together towards a common goal, someone is nominally in charge, and your work product has to be usable or you go out of business very quickly. Rob
