batch query

I am a newbie when it comes to querying the Z39.50 server using perl 
module. I would appreciate some help.

I am reading in around 900 or so ISSNs from a text file and outputting 
the title and subject in a xml file. For some reason, the loc server 
times out after returning 70 or so records ( '@attr 1=8 @attr 3=1 ' . 
$issn) and I get this error: 
Can't call method "option" on an undefined value at write.pl line 62, 
<DATA> line 902.
I am using  MARC::Field to get the 650 record.  Also for the same ISSNs 
and query string, I am getting blank subjects from the oclc server. 
However, that server does not time out.  Any idea?
