seems everything fails for me as well...

mandriva linux 2007.1, perl 5.8.8, last CPAN version of every packages, 
system encoding is utf8 (don't know if it cares, but the 1st error is 
typically a unicode one)

(i have same .out as Dan Scott if I don't mind.
