I don't remember if it focuses on any particular aspect of programming, but you might try the working the Python Challenge[1] in Perl. /dev [1] http://www.pythonchallenge.com/ -----Original Message----- From: Mike Barrett [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, July 11, 2011 4:07 PM To: Perl4Lib Listserv Subject: MARC or metadata related programming exercises? I recently discovered a set of mathematical programming challenges ranging from very simple to extremely complex. http://projecteuler.net/ I find that they are a great tool for studying Perl, because it gives me a concrete target to work on and apply better coding techniques. Does anyone have suggestions (or a site) for similar challenges based in text parsing and management? MARC related would be best, of course, but anything leaning more toward text than math would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike Barrett
