Anyone create MFHD records using MARC/Perl

Hi, Anyone know if there are any reasons that MARC::Record et al can't be used to create dumps of MFHD? For example, are there any leader/indicator values that are specific to MFHD that are illegal in MARC bib records that might cause MARC/Perl to puke? Mark Mark Jordan Head of Library Systems W.A.C.
