How to compile perl source code for MIPSEL

Dear All,
  I am trying to cross compile the PERL source code for mipsel-linux
platform. I did following steps

1) I have edited config for mipsel platform and remaing other platforms
commented from  *perl-5.12.1/Cross* folder.

2) make patch

3) make perl when I do  this I am getting error as below

perl-5.12.1/Cross/generate_config_sh config.sh-mipsel-linux >
/home/venu/Desktop/mozilla_downloads/perl-5.12.1/Cross/../config.sh
Unable to open config.sh-mipsel-linux at
/home/venu/Desktop/mozilla_downloads/perl-5.12.1/Cross/generate_config_sh
line 47.


Can any one please suggest me how to cross compile the perl for mipsel linux
platform.
