We are pleased to announce version 42.3, the third maintenance release
of version 42 of Perl 5.

Perl 5.42.3 represents approximately 4 months of development since Perl
5.42.2 and contains approximately 4,000 lines of changes across 120
files from 14 authors.

Excluding auto-generated files, documentation and release tools, there
were approximately 1,700 lines of changes to 59 .pm, .t, .c and .h
files.

Perl continues to flourish into its fourth decade thanks to a vibrant
