I'm pleased to announce release v6.1.1 of podlators.
podlators contains Pod::Man and Pod::Text modules which convert POD input
to *roff source output, suitable for man pages, or plain text. It also
includes several subclasses of Pod::Text for formatted output to terminals
with various capabilities. It is the source package for the Pod::Man and
Pod::Text modules included with Perl.
Changes from previous release:
- Avoid errors or an infinite loop in Pod::Text and its subclasses when
attempting to wrap text whose margin equals or exceeds the output width.
Instead, report an error and force the margin to zero. Thanks to Jitka
Plesnikova for the report. (CVE-2026-82560)
- When Pod::Text::Overstrike wraps a line at a bold or underscored space,
avoid leaving partially formatted spaces at the start of the subsequent
line.
