I can't imagine someone would want to write something like this:

	2:10.01		# 2.25 decimal
	8:2.2		# same
	16:2.4		# same

except for obfuscatory purposes.  Besides, if we allow dots for
floating point numbers how do we represent this integer:

	256:234.254

?
