I did, initially. But once I peeked under the hood, I noticed that the plugin already has the openssl cipher strings stored in a config file. Rather than add the aliases, I just submitted a patch that altered the config file.

I didn't bother much with the POD, because I'm familiar enough with openssl and what it provides. The TLS being included in SSLv3 is noted on this page: http://www.openssl.org/docs/apps/ciphers.html
