yet :-)
except I've not had time (at the same time as inclination) to make my best
effort on third party modules working outside of the source tree
(or fixing sfio. Or perl 5.6 (which is onto release candidiate 1 out in the
world of Unix)) :-(

The latest version could sucessfully build all the extensions inside the source
tree using the Makefile.PL's, but I've not tried outside, and I doubt it will
work (because of the line you saw about missing core.h)
