Reminder

This list is for the development of a software development kit, a
bundle of CPAN modules that are useful and reliable enough for us to
say "use these".  Many sysadmins install Perl and when faced with CPAN
decide to install nothing.  Those sysadmins will be able to install
the SDK knowing that they have installed a good set of modules.

We're not talking about adding these modules to the Perl core.  They
may become part of a separate perl-plus-sdk distribution for the
convenience of people who always install Perl and the SDK, but that's
a separate issue.
