I think a reasonable litmus test is the ability of module to function on x% of the total number (n) of platforms perl supports, where n is 'ls hints | wc -l' plus whatever custom platform builds exist eg, VMS, OE/MVS etc. Obviously x% should be greater than 1/n. :) Beyond that I think perl-{platform}-sdk is the answer. -- Stephen "If I claimed I was emporer just cause some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me they'd put me away"
