I agree that we have enough 'persistence' modules already.

WRT maintenance, perhaps it's so excellent that it hasn't needed any
change in the last three years.    Perhaps Dean should be asked if he
regards the module as being "actively maintained".    And perhaps the
same question should be asked for all potential SDK modules?
