Hi Scott, Guillaume is right SDL_ttf is not exactly usable in the legacy code. However the SDL_ttf code is beginning to stabalize in the redesign branch on github. Acme++. SDL pango will be in our redesign branch. If you would like to still try the cpan version join us on #sdl irc.perl.org .
