"Perl, The Programmer's Companion" has a superb set of exercises at the back. As a textbook for people who have never seen Perl before it is probably too compact - I mean, the llama never gets as far as references, whereas PTPC is doing DBM, tie, CGI.pm, you name it, by the end. It's really for people who are already good programmers in at least one other language. But it has the best exercises I've ever seen. -- Peter Scott [email protected]
