hi, i am producing a class on advanced OO perl being taught by damian conway in boston in july. here is the page on it: http://www.sysarch.com/perl/OOP_class.html i am looking for more ideas on how to market it to as wide an audience as possible. i already emailed the perl monger groups leader list and boston.pm and have 6-7 registrants. i have many ideas and i want to see if you think they are good too. i am emailing various people i know at local companies and asking them to mail it to their perl hackers. no brainer. there are many perl lists out there (lists.perl.org). obviously i don't want to spam all of them. i am thinking of mailing to all/most of the list owners and asking them to forward the url if they think it is appropriate. what do you think? i know of a major LISA (sysadmins) list in boston that i am on. i can mention it there or should i wait until i do a presentation to them next month. i will be adding the url to my signature and that will be seen in various lists and newsgroups. i will also post a few times to c.l.p.misc and modules and hopefully won't get flamed away. i almost would flame someone else if they did it. :) but i think a quick mention is ok. i can ask some of the regulars off line what they think. so you see i am doing plenty and have ideas. what are your comments on them? what avenues do you use to reach perl hackers in your area (so far i have more out of towners than locals registered). damian conway is a great draw and that helps a lot. thanx, uri -- Uri Guttman --------- [email protected] ---------- http://www.sysarch.com SYStems ARCHitecture, Software Engineering, Perl, Internet, UNIX Consulting The Perl Books Page ----------- http://www.sysarch.com/cgi-bin/perl_books The Best Search Engine on the Net ---------- http://www.northernlight.com
