A book that has not been mentioned yet (probably because
it is new) is "Elements of Programming with Perl",
by Andrew Johnson.

I reviewed many chapters some months ago, and just the other
day got a final, bound book.
I haven't looked at the whole book yet, but it does have
chapters covering references, modules, and object
oriented programming (though the OO part is rather thin).
The book is meant to be for non-programmers, but you can
excise the general CS stuff if you don't need it.
